Our mission statement:
Our mission here at the FMBA Local 13 is to educate residents of the City of Passaic, in the prevention, detection and extinguishment of fires; To enhance the safety of all who reside or pass through this City by continuing to train it's firefighters and the public in fire safety and by the training of firefighters in the protection of life and property.
Our history:
Originally formed in 1910 with only 30 members, today the Passaic FMBA Local 13 has expanded its ranks to include 80 active members.
Our Fleet
The Passaic Fire Department is staffed by 117 personnel, operating out of 2 fire stations. Each station maintains and operates 2 engine companies and 1 Ladder Company. We also are equipped with a Foam Tender, QRV, Haz-Mat Trailer and Boat.
